Bahawalpur South Punjab recommended as name of new province, while no sign of Seraikistan
From past few time there is a lot of talk about the establishment of a new province in the region of south Punjab. At last parliament committee has approved the constitution draft regarding establishment of new province whose name recommended as Bahawalpur South Punjab at the meeting where members national assembly of Multan, Dara Ghazi Khan and Bahawalpur were also present on Saturday. Members of the committee signed the recommendation draft in a meeting which was chaired by the president Senator Farhatullah Babar. In the meeting committee suggested 49 national assembly seats in which 12 seats would be for the women while 124 provincial assembly seats in which 23 reserve seats for the women. Bahawalpur would be the capital of new province while the national assembly will be established in the Multan. Important positions of the new province like Governor and chief minister will set at the same place. After the signed of all the members of committee draft has been sent to the ministry of Law said by the member of committee Jamshed Dasti while talking to the media. The complete detail about constitutional draft will be finalized in the next meeting on Monday and then report about new province is expected that will be presented on Wednesday in the national assembly where the final decision will be made.
Different reactions have made different political parties in Pakistan as they heard about THE constitutional draft regarding establishment of a new province in the south Punjab. As the PML-N is ruling at present in Punjab and who is main opposition has made strong reaction regarding making of new province in the south Punjab. While talking to media on Sunday Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan who is a opposition leader in the National Assembly said that PML-N is not against creating of new province in south Punjab but new provinces should made by following the legal rules and regulations. He also said his party will boycott the commission and will not accept the recommendations that have made by the commission for the establishment of the new province. In his press conference he also accused the PPP of gaining the political advantage in the election that is why they raise the issue for creating new province in south Punjab. He also said that our party wants a national commission through which provinces should be created not in Punjab but in the other three provinces as well.
