Nadra to Assist AIOU (Allama Iqbal Open University) in Data Management

Two gigantic institutions of Pakistan Government “Nadra” and”AIOU” have agreed to help the students during their education career at AIOU through data management and financial assistance. The detailed agreement will be signed soon between both the bodies. Nadra and AIOU together will facilitate the students of AIOU in Data Management and financial transactions during their educational careers at AIOU. Allama Iqbal Open University has emerged as one of the biggest university across Asia in terms of Students as it has over 1,300,000 registered students. The university is offering variety of courses both campus based and distance learning ones.

Nadra in this regard in collaboration with AIOU have made a data base which will facilitate the humongous number of students to drive through their education careers easily with having any difficulty regarding access to the education data of their respective course and through one smart card they will be able to pay their fees as well. The agreement was done between Chairman Nadra M. Tariq Malik and Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Nazir Ahamd Sangi. M. Tariq Malik said that the smart cards that will help the students in their educational careers can immediately being issued from their branches all over Pakistan. These Smart cards will help the students for getting the useful information through online communication with the university and issues like depositing examination fee, exams dates and other information about the degrees they are doing.

In meeting it was also discussed that Pakistan now is in need of education desperately the only solution to our present and future problems in education and in this regard education should be available to every citizen of Pakistan at his door step and on very easy conditions. Various other schemes were also explained by the Vice Chancellor AIOU like “earn-to -learn”, student support program and educate a child programs. There is extreme need of such programs so that education gets promoted all over the country.

During the meeting the Chairman Nadra said

“Pakistan needs an Education Emergency, and Nadra will walk an extra mile to help those institutions who walk the talk of emergency”

Let’s hope this plan works out and several other plans should be designed to make education affordable and quality oriented at basic or school level so that every Pakistani gets what is his/her basic right that is education.
