A life insurance product has been launched by Telenor Pakistan in collaboration with MicroEnsure Pakistan Private limited and Jubilee Life Insurance Company Limited for its mobile customers. This product by Telenor is affordable and hassle free service for its prepaid consumers.
This product is named “Talkshawk Mohafiz Zindagi Beema” and Telenor claims that it is free insurance that enables Telenor Talkshawk consumers who use balance of Rs. 200 per month to avail this life insurance product. If the customer having subscribed to this insurance plan dies due to any cause, he will be entitled for Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 100,000 in the next month. This range of money to be awarded is decided on their monthly mobile usage.
If you are one of those who want to avail this product, simply dial *347*101# from your Talkshawk. It is cost free and there are no other requirements like medical examination or any kind of paperwork.
Once you have subscribed to Talkshawk mobile insurance plan, the amount you spent in the current month will determine how much amount will this insurance plan cover during the next month, in case of accidental or any other kind of death.

This clearly means that subscriber of this insurance plan must consume 200 Rupees in order to get insurance next month in case of sudden death. In case a subscriber of Talkshawk insurance plan did not use 200 Rupees airtime in a month, your insurance will be void. You are entitled for the insurance only in the case when you have used Rupees 200 or above.
Validity of the cover provided by this plan will be for one month only.
The maximum insurance benefit allowed on a single insured customer is Rupees 100,000 only regardless of the number of mobile phone connections that the customer has with Telenor Pakistan. Only registered SIMs with valid details of the customer will be eligible for this insurance cover in case of unfortunate sudden death.
Once you have enrolled with Telenor Pakistan in this mobile insurance plan, you can nominate a relative who could receive the amount of the claim and get paid in case of sudden death of the insurance plan bearer. This can be done by calling Telenor Pakistan’s helpline.
In such case where no one has been nominated as beneficiary of the insurance plan by the customer or in case the beneficiary is not alive at the time of the death of the customer, holder of the Heirship Certificate can claim the amount payable but the certificate must be issued by authorised department of Government of Pakistan.

There are some important things one must know:
A customers’ entitlement to Talkshawk Mohafiz Zindagi Beema will be cancelled in case:
- The customer switches from Telenor Pakistan network to any other mobile network
- Prepaid customer switches to Post Paid plan of Telenor
- Telenor Pakistan suspects that the customer have committed any fraudulent activity
