6% Adult Pakistanis Used Drugs in 2013, UNODC Report Says

United Nations Office on Drugs and Crimes (UNODC) representative in Pakistan Cesar Guedes and Joint Secretary Narcotics Control Division Mian Zulqarnain Amir released a report titled “Drug Use in Pakistan 2013”. According to the report, people in Pakistan aged between 15 to 64 years use drugs in different forms. The statistics of this report claim that 6% or 6.7 Million adults in Pakistan had used drugs in 2013. 25 to 39 years age has the highest frequency. 7.67% Growth in Exports of Surgical Goods and Medical Instruments

During the period of July to January 2013-14, exports of Pakistani surgical goods and medical instruments have increased as compared to the last year. Last year these goods were exported worth 177.85 million dollars and this year during the seven months, goods worth 191.422 million dollars are exported. This shows an increase of 7.67 percent as compared to previous year. According to the data provided by Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, 50.032 million dollar worth of cutlery goods were exported which shows an increase of 2.56 percent in comparison to the same period last year. US Court Orders Google to Remove Blasphemous Film From YouTube

Google Inc was ordered by a US appeals court to remove blasphemous film from its video sharing website YouTube. This blasphemous film has sparked violent protests all over the Muslim world.
