MQM has been famous for anti-state statements in the past that gave rise to controversies. Syed Jamaluddin who is a former member of MQM and he is currently observing a self-exile in Heidelberg, Germany. He is suspected of being an agent of Indian agency RAW. He is considered a strong supporter of “Jinnahpur”. According to him “Jinnahpur” must came into being to protect the rights of Urdu-speakers in Sindh, Pakistan. He has been spreading this propaganda for a very long time and has targeted Pakistani military and intelligence in his anti-state statements several times. When Pakistani military intelligence tried to grab him to inquire him owing to the maps and designs of Jinnahpur, he managed to escape to Germany. Few days ago he in his message to international journalist community wrote that military establishment of Pakistan wants to “corner and eliminate MQM through Talibanized factions of Pathan and Punjabi political parties”. He further urged Indian Government and RAW Chief to intervene in Karachi to make his dream of Jinnahpur come to reality. “Let the youth in Karachi not waste time in music or social enjoyment but prepare for a massive sacrifice” as he concluded his statement.
Now the latest lead that links Syed Jamaluddin and Altaf Hussain’s psyche is the controversial telephonic address of Altaf Hussain in which he said that Karachi should be separated from Pakistan if the mandate given to MQM is unacceptable. This enraged the whole Pakistani nation inside and outside of Pakistan. The complaints sent to London metropolitan police were thousands in number. After the enraged response from Pakistani nation towards the statement issued by MQM Chief Altaf Hussain, MQM leaders clarified it several times that Altaf Hussain did not mean the separation of Karachi from Pakistan and media has elaborated his statement out of context.
London Metropolitan Police is fiercely independent in making its decisions and according to Adam Thomson British High Commission cannot decide anything on their own. It is for the Police department to investigate and conclude something out of the situation.
Time after time MQM leaders have been creating controversies about the solidarity of Pakistan and their actions suggest that they are working on a policy of disintegrating Pakistan. It seems perfect time for Pakistani think-tank to take a solid action against MQM and Altaf Hussain if they want to save our country Pakistan.
