The controversial Malala Yousafzai have been awarded the most prestigious European award of and that is Sakhrov Right prize. Malala has really gained fame all over that world after attack on her while she was coming back from school she survived that attack and then doors of fame opened for her and few days back she was also awarded the by the title of Bravest girl of the world.
Majority of Pakistani’s don’t like her because they think that she is carrying negative image of Pakistan throughout the world her comments about restrictions on education of girls in Pakistan and anger is seen in most of Pakistani’s due to her negative comments about Pakistan. In past two decades an enormous increase has been seen in girls education in Pakistan. Malala gave speech after receiving the award and she dedicated the award to all the girls in Pakistan who are making efforts to educate themselves or are trying to get education she said that this award will give more courage to her to move forward to complete her mission.
She asked European Parliament to look beyond Europe towards those countries where people are still deprived from their basic rights. She was very confident during the speech, after the award ceremony talking to media she said that she is very happy after receiving this award as this award is not given to her but to Pakistan. Malala became the first Pakistani to receive this award. Yes Malala is controversial but she has been given a lot of importance by the west. Let’s see what she brings to Pakistan.
