There was a speculations about Warid will or will not get the 3G or 4G licence but Warid Telecom went public today with their press ads which is “dair ayad drust ayad 4G LTE” which means that it’s a bit late but it is the best time to arrive which confirmed that Warid is launching 4G LTE very soon and Warid Telecom might be the first Telecom company of Pakistan to deploy 4G LTE network.
Warid Telecom International is one of the best telecom company of Pakistan. Warid’s other famous product is Wateen telecom which is an ISP (Internet Service Provider). Basically it is an Abu Dhabi based company which is providing its telephony services in Pakistan, Uganda and Republic of Congo. Warid starts its operations in Pakistan in 2005.
Warid Telecom delay the purchase and people thinks that Warid Telecom is afraid of Purchasing an expensive 3G or 4G license but with that one liner advertisement which is mentioned above it seems that Warid Telecom did their home work pretty well and now they are almost above all networks with their 4G LTE launching plan.
There was the speculations that Pakistan Telecommunication Authority is not allowing Warid Telecom to deploy 4G LTE in Pakistan but this press ads seems to be a big hint of Warid’s settlement with PTA. There is no proof of this settlement yet but we are almost convinced with that ads that their must be a settlement.
Last news from PTA was that they wont allow Warid Telecom to deploy 4G LTE because it could unbalance the industry, and according to IM for 3G and 4G there was a strict rule that new operators would not be allowed to launch 3G or 4G services for the next 18 months, but as mentioned earlier that we don’t have official confirmation from PTA and other regulatory authorities but it seems that Warid Telecom Somehow Managed to convince authorities for approval of 4G LTE.
