Pakistan music industry is one of the leading growing industries in Pakistan. Pakistan music industry is full of legendary singers and musician of the world. This industry gives the world, Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Madam Noor Jahan, Ustad Mehdi Hassan, Ghulam Ali Khan, Zubeeda Khanaum, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Atif Aslam, and many more. Here is the list of top music bands in Pakistan according to pop, rock, jazz, traditional, classical genres and Pakistani folk music.

  1. Vital Signs:


Vital Signs were a Pakistani pop and rock band. It was formed in 1986 in Rawalpindi and remains active till 2013 with some gaps. Junaid jamsheed, Rohail Hayatt, and Shahzad Hassan were its founding members. It was the most popular rock and pop band of its era.

  1. Strings:


Next Pakistani and internationally acclaimed band in the list is Strings. Strings was formed in 1988 and had remaind active till 1992. In 1999, it revived again and still in the music industry. Band is known for pop and rock music and Faisal Kapadia and Bilal Maqsood are key members.

  1. Fuzon:


Fuzon is a Karachi based band that was formed in 2001 and remained active till 2004, however, band is in industry again since 2007. Rameez Mukhtar and Shafqat Amanat Ali were the past members and now it is being led by Khurram Iqbal, Shallum Asher Xavier, and Imran Momina.

Laal is a another most popular Pakistani band that is known for singing socialist and progressive political songs especially poetry of leftist Urdu pots such as habib Jalib and Faiz Ahmed Faiz. Laal was formed in 2008 in Lahore and still in the field. Taimur Rahman, Mahvash Waqar and Haider Rahman are its key members.

Noori is a Lahore based Pakistani rock band. The band was formed by Ali Noor along with his younger brother Ali Hamza in 1996. Noori is considered as one of the pioneering forces behind what is dubbed at the 21st Century pop revolution of Paksitan.

Jal is a pop and rock band that was formed in Lahore in 2002. The band was originally formed by Goher Mumtaz and Atif Aslam and later on joined by Oer Nadeem. The band became most popular after its first song, “Adat”, that was a massive hit in Pakistan.

  1. Aaroh:


Aaroh was a Karachi based alterntive rock, pop rock and power pop band. The band was formed in 1998 and deactive since 2009. The band was founded by guitarist Nabeel Nihal Chishty, and vocalist Farooq Ahmed.

  1. Awaz:


Awaz was a Pakistani pop band that was formed in Karachi in 1992 by Haroon Rashid and later on was joined by Faakihir Mehmood and Asad Ahmed. It was one of the pioneer bands of the local pop music scene and was highly skilled and talented musicians and producers and composers.

  1. Roxen:


Roxen is a Pakistani rock band from Lahore that was formed in 2004 and still active. The first album of the Roxen studio was ozen-e-Deewar that was released in 2006. Mustafa Zahid, Haider Halim, and Shahan Khan are its key members.

Zeb and Haniya is a Pakistani pop, rock and sufi band from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The band was formed in 2007 and is active till now. The band is the project of two cousins, Zebunnisa Bangash and Haniya Aslam.
