Punjab Government has announced the schedule for Summer Vacation 2016. According to the notification issued by the Government of Punjab, the education institute in the province will remain closed from June 1, 2016, to August 14, 2016.
Classes in the educational institutes will commence from August 15, 2016. The government can announce the earlier date for the commencement of Summer Vacations instead of June 01, in the case of raise in temperature in the province. In most of the Punjab cities, mercury is already touching 44 degrees in the past week.
“We took the decision as the Met department forecast that the mercury would hover around 45 degrees Celsius at several places in the province”, Punjab Government official stated.
The schedule announced by the Punjab Government is for the all private and public schools in Pakistan. Along with the announcement of Summer Vacations for 2016, Punjab Government has also announced the schedule for the summer campuses as well. Summer camp schedule will be observed from 07:00 AM to 10:30 AM.
Other conditions imposed by the Punjab Government for the summer camps are:
- Consent of the parents will be necessary.
- Institutions will ensure that student will bring eatables with him to avoid sunstroke.
- Sufficient arrangements for good quality, clean & cold drinking water will be ensured by the institution
- Security of the campus will be strictly ensured by the institution
- No fee will be charged from the students by government schools.
