Coke studio is the music TV series where various artists from all over Pakistan give their live performances on different songs. This series was first started in 2008 from all channels and also on air at radio channels in Pakistan. Coke Studio get popularity due to its unique ideas with the fusion of various types of music like eastern and western style with other music styles like classic, folk, Bhangra, Sufi, hip hop and pop music etc. This program produce by the Coca-Cola Company and the producer of this program is Rohail Hyatt.
Five seasons of Coke Studio have been done regarding this music program in which popular artists of Pakistan have made their performances like Rahat, Atif Aslam, Ali Azmat, Ali Zafar, Sajjad, Strings, Shafqat Amanat Ali, Abida Parveen, Arif Lohar, Hadiqa Kihani, Fakir, Tina Sani and Noori for different episodes. There are other number of other artists have also made their performances like Tufail Ahmad, Zeb and Hania, Josh, Javed Bashir, Karavan, Arib, Juman Shah, Snam Marvi, Alisha Shafi, Rizwan & Mouzam, Amanat Ali and others as well.
- The first season of Coke Studio was started in 2008 on 7 June and it ended on 4 August with four episodes.
- After the great success of the first season, second season began in 2009 on 14 June and then it ended on 14 August with five episodes.
- Third season started in 2010 on 6 June and ended on August 1 with five episodes.
- In next year of 2011, fourth season was started which continue from 22 May to 17 July with five episodes.
- The last season of Coke Studio began in 2012 which continue from May 13 to July 8 with the beautiful performances of talented artists.
In all the seasons, Coke Studio has achieved desired results by creating heart touching music with the performances of featured artists. There is also talking about the next season of Coke Studio for the current year of 2013 because getting popularity from all seasons people are hoping that they will do their best in this year as well. Although there is no any big news come about Coke Studio for making of season 6 but people are expecting that they will continue their work for this year as well because commercially this program major hits not in Pakistan but in South Asia as well. Time will tell whether season 6 of Coke Studio will continue in this year or not because it is just beginning of 2013.
