The successful Raiwind Tablighi Ijtima (Annual Gathering) religious event on November 8 to 11 and 15 to 18, 2012 was participated by many. People from all over the globe participated and learned many things about Islam. The Ijtima is the second biggest congregation in the world.
The first phase of Raiwind Tablighi Ijtima was concluded with high heartfelt prayers by India’s Maulana Zubair al Hasan. The prayers began at 8:50am and lasted for 30 minutes with thousands of devotees. The religious event was in live and live streaming was also available on Awamtv.com, courtesy of Punjab Chief Minister, Ustream and YouTube.
Big preparations were made for the spiritual gathering as security is Pakistan’s major problem. The City of Lahore is part of the hit list of attacks. Thus, tight security measures were applied with the wardens and checking staff. Traffic measures were also imposed to avoid jams on the road. Raiwind Tablighi Ijtima is done every year in Lahore and the recent event arrived in Raiwind, Lahore.

The Raiwind Tablighi Ijtima is a religious event where people from all over the world gather together to get the chance to learn precious teachings about Islam. The lectures are to be done by Islamic leaders to give more encouragement and bring people closer to the faith. The huge gathering is among the most reputed and biggest meetings in Pakistan and has honored as “Raiwind Tablighi Ijtima”.
One Ejtima was also held in September 2012 in Karachi which was flocked by about a hundred thousand people. The Ijima of Lahore in 2011 had almost half million participants.
