Talking to Dunya News during morning program ‘Khabar Yeh Hai, the spokesperson of the foreign office Umar Hameed also confirmed the United Nations has offered Pakistan to assign the prisoner swap agreement because it will be helpful for both countries in the future. There will be the first benefit for Pakistan that we will be able to bring Pakistani Dr again to back. Moreover, she will spend remaining imprisonment life in Pakistan. Pakistani government asked US to free Aafia but USA clarified that the legal way to free Aafia is prisoner swap agreement so she will be a prisoner here too.
The interior Ministry also formed a task force for dialogues with US officials regarding this issue, Pakistani Newspaper reported. Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan is leading this task force. Pakistani Official confirmed this proposal from the US, which will help both countries to exchange prisoners. After coming back to the Pakistan Dr Afia will be a prisoner here. Before taking an oath, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif promised to bring back Aafia within 3 months. If this agreement will be signed within few days, then it will surely increase PML-N following.

The US offered two deals that include European Convention on the Transfer of Sentenced Persons and Convention on Serving Criminal Sentences Abroad in this regard. The task force was constituted under the directives of Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan.
