Sidra Iqbal 1st Pakistani Nominated for GR8 Women Awards 2014

It indeed is a big news that Sidra Iqbal has been nominated for GR8 Women Awards 2014. This is the first time ever that a Pakistani woman is nominated for this prestigious award. Sidra Iqbal has been nominated along with 16 other women across Middle East region.

Indian Television Academy has been organizing this award for the past 3 years. Their purpose is to recognize women for their achievements as well as to spread the message of the founders of “BETI”. BETI is a foundation helping women in trouble and provide financial help to them so that they can overcome difficult times.

Sidra Iqbal is a very popular TV host and journalist. She will be honored and recognized on 15th of February 2014 at 4th Annual GR8 Women Awards that will take place in Dubai.

Sidra Iqbal is a very popular personality having a beautiful face and smile. Her clarity of thoughts and putting them into speech is impeccable. She was the first Pakistani who hosted IIFA twice in a row in Singapore and Macau. Whether she is having a hardcore debate on issues like terrorism or national security with policy makers or she is having a light chit chat with well known celebrities.

She will be receiving GR8 Women Award for her achievements in Journalism at a ceremony that will take place at Sofitel The Palm in Dubai. Sania Maskatiya has designed Sidra Iqbal’s dress for this huge occasion. Sidra Iqbal’s comments on this momentous occasion are

Sony Entertainment will telecast this award ceremony live. Previously big names such as Sushmita Sen and Karishma Kapoor have won these awards while Simi Garewal is also receiving the award this year. Bollywood Superstars like Kangana Ranaut and Shriya Saran will also be attending the ceremony this year.
