10 Best Pakistani Movies of 2015

The year 2015 had seen a partial revival of Pakistan film industry as number of good movies were produced during this year that succeeded in attracting the attentions of country’s sad audience. Hence, it can be termed that 2015 was the best year so far in terms of the revival of film industry.

Now, as the year is on the verge to depart, we have compiled a list of the top Pakistani movies which had been shined on the big screen during the leaving year.

Jawani Phir Nahi Ani


Jawani Phir Nahi Ani is by far the best movie of the year. This movie was considered to be the best not because of its cast and script, it had also earned the most to the extent of breaking the previous earning records of Pakistani movie. The experienced and talented artists like Humayun Saeed, Hamza Ali Abbasi, Vasay Chaudhry, Ahmad Ali Butt, Mehwish Hayat and Sohai Ali Abro had worked their best to make this movie accumulated Rs 39 crore.

Bin Roye


Based on Farhat Ishtiaq novel of the same title, Bin Roye earned Rs10.85 crore  in Pakistan. The special thing of this movie was Mahira Khan who was leading alongside Humayun Saeed and was supported by Armeena Khan. The movie was a romantic triangular among two sisters and their cousin and was nicely directed by Momina Duraid.



Sarmad Sultan Khoosat’s venture for the biopic Manto portrayed one of the most celebrated short story writers of Pakistan, Saadat Hassan Manto. Although it was an art movie, it too managed to have grossed Rs5.03 crore at Pakistani box offices.



Released on the Independence Day of Pakistan, this movie portrays critical periods of Pakistani families. Written and directed by Jami, Moor – a pashto word meaning ‘mother – features Hameed Sheikh, Shaz Khan, Samiya Mumtaz, Ayaz Samoo, Nayyar Ejaz and Abdul Qadir in the leading cast. The movie had mounted a gross of Rs1.85 crore on the Pakistani box office.

Dekh Magar Pyaar Say


Released on the same day when the Moor did, Dekh Magar Pyaar Say portrays a common story of a girl leaving in Pakistani society. Directed by Asad ul Haq and produced by Ali Murtaza, this movie was a romantic-comedy featuring Humaima Malick and Sikandar Rizvi in the lead roles. The movie had succeeded in earning Rs2.24 crore.

3 Bahadur


Considered to be the first animated movie made in Pakistan, 3 Bahadur features a super-hero, fighting the criminal elements of the society. The adventurous, comedy and fantasy movie is replete with action to entertain the audience at its best. Directed by the Oscar Award winner Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy, this movie grossed Rs 6.63 crore.



As the name suggests, this was the movie full of twists, games and amaze where Danish Taimoor along with debutant Ali Safina pursue their dream to get riches. Directed by Yasi Jaswal and produced by Eman Syed, the movie was an action-thriller with highlighting a sort of political aspect of Pakistani political cricle as well the mafia affecting the country. This movie earned Rs7.1 crore.

Karachi Se Lahore


Released on July 31, this movie took Shehzad Sheikh and Ayesha Omer to the silver screen. Karachi Se Lahore is a romantic-comedy movie which features mostly the roads side from two major cities of the country, Karachi and Lahore. This movie earned Rs10 crore at the local box offices.

Wrong No


Another romantic-comedy movie Wrong No featured Danish Taimoor, Javed Sheikh, Danish Nawaz, Nadeem Jafri, Shafqat Cheema, Suhaee Ali Abro, and Janita Asma that was released on 18 July. The movie was a debutant of Yasir Nawaz as a director and was co-produced by his wife Nida Yasir and Hassan Zia. Wrong No earned Rs15 crore.

Halla Gulla


Halla Gulla was another romantic comedy which was released this year. Stars veteran Javed Sheikh, Asim Mehmood, Ismail Tara and Sidra Batool, this movie was directed by Kamran Akbar Khan and was released on Sep 25. Halla Gulla earned Rs1.05 crore.
