For the first time in the banking history of Pakistan, UBL has joined hands with MasterCard to launch prepaid services in the country. Now you can make the online purchases, payments and perform various other functions by way of this new service. With the launch of this service, UBL becomes the first commercial bank in Pakistan to provide its customers with this new service.
Mr. Sharjeel Shahid attended the inauguration service – Group Head Banking Products & Corporate Service Group HBL, Mr. Shaheryar Saeed Khan – Head of Consumer Finance UBL and Mr. Aurangzaib Khan, Country Manager – Pakistan and Afghanistan MasterCard, along with senior UBL and MasterCard executives.
The UBL customers can avail this new offer from any branch of UBL. The customers of UBL can now make purchases and can make payment without having to carry cash. The new UBL Prepaid MasterCard can be availed from the any branch of UBL. Existing customers are required to go through a simple documentation and verification procedure to get this service.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Sharjeel Shahid said, “UBL was the first bank in the country to launch prepaid cards and currently leads the market. We are excited to offer our customers, even more, options with this new Mastercard offering.”
Mr. Aurangzaib Khan said, “We are excited to take our long-standing collaboration with UBL to the next level with the launch of Mastercard’s first Prepaid Card in Pakistan. Prepaid Cards are designed for a range of uses, offering cardholders a more convenient and safer way to pay than using cash – even those without a bank account.”
