Fortuner is the latest SUV (Sports Utility Vehicle) which is introduced in Pakistan in March 2013 by Toyota. Some features and specifications of this SUV are discussed below.

It will be available in 8 different colours in Pakistan. These colours include Black, White, Strong Blue Metallic, Metallic Flaxen Mica, Bluish Silver Mica Metallic, Wine Red, Gun Metallic and Medium Silver.
Weight:
When fully loaded, the weight of this vehicle is 2450 KG. This is also known as Gross weight. When the vehicle is not fully loaded, it can weigh anywhere between 1825-1875 KG. This is known as Curb weight.
Dimensions and Measurements:
Width of the vehicle is 1840mm and height is 1850mm. Vehicle’s front wheels are aligned at a distance of 1540mm. Height of the vehicle from the ground are clear by 220mm. Distance between front and back wheels is 2750mm. Total length of the vehicle from a side view is 4705 mm. Turning radius for the vehicle is 6.2m. The fuel tank can carry up to 65 litres of fuel at maximum.
Engine:
The engine is 2.7L VVT-i technology, 2TR-FE and uses a standard EURO-2 emission exhaust. Fuel supply system uses petrol as the fuel. Maximum output the engine can deliver is 118kW/5,200rpm.
Performance:
With a 4 speed ETC Automatic transmission, the vehicle can boast 147 KM per hour speed. It is a full time 4 wheel drive vehicle. Brakes and suspensions are implanted in the front and rear of the vehicle. Hydraulic Power Steering is used in the car.
Exterior :
Chromed front grill, halogen dimmer and high intensity beam used in the front and fog lamps and rear lamps are equipped with halogen with double round shaped graphics. 12-spoke 17 inch Alloy wheels are used and tires are 265/65R17. Spare wheel is also included in the package.
Interior Leather and silver steering wheel, boasting built-in multiple information switches. A stylish speedometer and chrome rings to adjust the intensity of LED lights. Complete in-car entertainment system is provided in the shape of 7-inch touch screen having USB, DVD and iPhone connectivity facilities. The interior is decorated with black grain wood panels, the head rest is adjustable for comfortable head and neck positions during journey and the driver seat is 6-way powered.
Other features:
The vehicle comes with a standard 2 master remote keys and a valet key and anti-theft system of the car wouldn’t allow the engine to be started with a fake key. Entrance support grip, sun glasses holder, coat hook, floor mats, SRS front airbags and seat belts are some of the other features of this SUV.
Mileage:
Since it is a heavy duty vehicle, the mileage per litre is estimated to be 8-9 KM in the city area where frequent stoppages are a routine and 10-12 KM while driving on a highway or motorway.
Price :
Price of this 5-door SUV is not determined officially yet. Rumours and discussion while comparing the prices of this SUV in other countries like India, USA and UAE reveal that the estimated price will be around 4-5 million Rupees in Pakistan.
