Arfa Karim IT Tower: Software Technology Park

Arfa Karim Tower, Arfa Software Technology Park (ASTP) – previously known as Software Technology Park – is the first information technology park of Pakistan that is located in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. The park was built in 2009 on the order of Chief Minister Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif. It is the largest and most advanced IT park in Punjab and Pakistan.

On January 15, 2012, CM Punjab announced a name change of Software Technology Park to Aarfa Software Technology Park in the memory of Late Arfa Karim Randhawa – the World’s Youngest Microsoft Certified Professional.

The IT Park had been established with the aim of improving and growing the culture of information technology in Pakistan especially in Punjab. ASTP is a one window operation to attract local software companies and foreign investors to start IT related business in an expeditious manner.

ASTP offers the businesses operating within the technology park with state of the art business facilities like Tier III Data Center, water proof pathways, high tech security, advanced fire protection system, 24 hour CCTV coverage and a RFID controlled parking for over 600 vehicles.

To ensure the efficient environment, Building Management System is installed which enables the centralization and optimization of various processes like monitoring, operating, and managing the entire building.

All kinds of facilities regarding networks and communication, utilities security, automation and seminar rooms have been ensured by the government.
