Jawani Phir Nahi Ani shakes the box office

ARY Films presentation Jawani Phir Nahi Ani has taken box office by storm and it seems that it will be marking ‘never reached’ spot in Pakistani film industry. The star studded film with its release thrashed the previously held biggest opener record by Waar. The comedy-entertainer collected Rs 2.7 cr on first day of its release at domestic box office.


This film can be accounted as the ‘record breaker film’ of the Pakistan industry. The film opened up on more than 85 cinemas of the country, becomes the first Pakistani film to occupy such number of screens. The film marked record of highest opener film and the latest reports also claim that it has also become the highest-grossing opening weekend Pakistani film. JPNA grossed Rs 7.73 crore in its opening week and current stats tells that the film will be doing much more in coming several days.

In just some days of its release, JPNA has made it into the top 8 Pakistani films ever (in terms of box office results).

JPNA stars Humayun Saeed, Mehwish Hayat, Ayesha Khan Hamza Ali Abbasi, Ahmed Ali Butt Sohai Ali Abro and Vasay Chaudhry.

Humyaun Saeed the lead actor of the film has also co-produced  the film along with Salman Iqbal, Shahzad Nasib & Jarjees Seja under production banner Six Sigma Plus. The legendary former Pakistani actor Nadeem Baig has directed the film.


The multicast film is not just marking business on box office it has even got positive reviews and is considered as a biggest contribution in Pakistani cinema. As these type of films weren’t made in Pakistan earlier, although this film might open up path for such more bold-comedy-entertainers.
