Moving one step further to win the confidence of investors, the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) has launched an SMS service by the name of 8181 for the information of investors. This SMS service is being supervised by the JamaPunji, the web portal of SECP.
The aim of this service is to inform the willing investors and stakeholders about a specific company in which they are interested in investing. By launching this SMS service, SECP has made the investment process clean and clear. Now the investor will be able to know the status of a company, its licence and agent before going to invest in it.
The SMS service by the name of 8181 service is currently offering SMS Verification Services and SMS Value-Added Services. Those who are willing to invest in any incorporation can get the detail of that company, its licence, and agent before going for invest.
The procedure for getting information about a company or incorporation is:
1. For Company Verification Service
Type Incorporation ID and send to 8181
2. For Licence Verification Service
Type LV space Incorporation ID and send to 8181
3. For Agent Verification Service
Type Agent ID and send to 8181
4. For Modaraba Verification Service
Type MV space Modaraba Authorization ID and send to 8181
Meanwhile it is being advised by the SECP never invest in unregistered company and should avoid investment through an unlicensed entity. The JamaPunji web portal of SECP was launched by the SECP in start of June 2015 for the education of the investors. With the passage of time, SECP is making the process of investment easy, user friendly and as per requirements of the investors. This new SMS service will surely assist the investors in getting detail of company and license before going for investment.
