The Boom Boom stepped down as captain for the 2nd season of the PSL to honour Darren Sammy as the captain of the PZ.

The team played amazingly throughout the tournament and ended up winning the PSL season 2.

PZ fans were on the cloud nine but days back the news left them in deep shock. The news was nothing else than Shahid Afridi parting way from the Zalmis.

This time this was much more than the rumour as the star cricketer himself announced abut leaving the PSL franchise.

The cricketing fans were quite sure that there might be some other reason for Shahid Afridi that he decided to leave Peshawar Zalmi.

Many reliable sources told that the rising differences between Shahid Afridi and Javed Afridi pushed back Boom Boom to make this decision.

Finally, the Shahid Afridi threw light over the matter in the talk show hosted by Saleem Safi.

While talking at the show, the former T20 captain told, “I saw Javed’s vision changing with time. I didn’t want to be a hindrance in his new goals and vision. I have a lot of commitments to my own foundation, so I wouldn’t be able to give my services completely to him also. There a lot of projects of my foundation that I need to set my focus on.”
