The University of Karachi’s (KU) management eliminated on Monday a student who requested model Ayyan Ali for the inauguration of a business enterprise at the university by the varsity’s college students in August this season.
Entrance of Araib Khan, a student in the Department of Public Administration has become terminated and he will never be permitted to get entrance in any course of the university in the future, based on a notice of the registrar of the university, Dr Moazzam Ali Khan.
“You is discovered responsible for destroying the status for the Department of Public Administration along with the reputation of the university,” reads the notice.
He has also been restricted from coming in the university’s property.
The supermodel’s trip to the varsity in August produced an uproar with the university management becoming highly criticised for welcoming an under-trial accused.
Her trip to the university came weeks after she was launched from Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail. The model was caught on charges of money laundering by customs’ authorities from Benazir Bhutto International Airport on March 14 after $506,800 were recovered from her baggage. She expended 4 months in jail before getting bail.
An additional student Abdullah Rizwan, who is also thought to be included in arranging the event, has been banned from coming in the varsity’s property, along with from getting entrance in any program at the KU.
But, questioning university statements Araib told he has not got any notice or official declaration in this connection.
“I just have come to understand the news of my expulsion via press stations and also have not been knowledgeable by any university official nor have gotten a notice regarding this,” Araib said.
