Top 6 Upcoming Pakistani Dramas in 2020


For Pakistani Drama Industry lovers, there is no deficiency of well-rounded and unforgettable characters, new plots, well-knitted storylines, and worthy dialogues. When the world is progressing so rapidly, it seems as if the Pakistani drama industry and lost its way somewhere. As much as it is high time we made and showed our women stronger, all we get to watch is them being victims crying their way throughout the story. If anything different, they are shown to be homes breakers and destroying someone’s life consumed by jealousy. The audience is absolutely fed of watching the same plots with new project names and new actors every now and then.


2020 started with a few good hits like Alif, Ishq ZaheNaseeb, so we are also hopeful about some of the projects in the pipeline to be aired later in the year. The six must-watch of them are:

1. Bandhay Aik Dor Se:

Banday aik dor say would be a family play, written by Faiza Iftikhar, which would have Ahsan Khan and Ushna Shah as the leads alongside industry’s big names, like Samina Ahmed, Saba Hameed, Saba Faisal. When such great names get together, you can hope that they won’t disappoint.

2. Prem Gali:


It is another project of which also has a star-studded cast with Farhan Saeed and Sohai Ali Abro in the lead roles. The play is the sequel of 2017’s amazing family play ‘Angan’.


3. Khuda Aur Muhabat Season 3:

Hashim Nadeem’s Khuda aur Mohabaat is no more a play. It’s a brand. While the two seasons had Imran Abbas and Sadia Khan with amazing chemistry, this time as it comes back to your screens, will have Iqra Aziz and Feroz Khan in the lead roles.

4. Mushk:

Urwa Hocane will be making her long-awaited come back to television with the project ‘Mushk’ besides Kubra Khan, Gohar Rasheed, and Imran Ashraf. The multitalented Imran Ashraf will not only be acting but is also the man behind the script who made his debut as a writer from the successful play ‘ Tabeer’.

5. Drama on Schizophrenia:

Although its title is not revealed, it is confirmed that the Ishq Zehnaseeb heroine Sonya Hussyn will play the role of schizophrenic women in an upcoming project.

6. Savera Nadeem and Noman Ijaz:

The two seniors will be seen together with heartthrob Bilal Abbas in upcoming dramas. The Pyar Kay Sadqay, however, did not reveal many details in Insta post except expressing his being honored to get a chance to work with O Rangreza poet.
