Pakistani Snooker Player Mohammad Asif, who lost in the last 32 round in the World Championship in Hyderabad, India, last year produced a spectacular potting and safety play against lex Borg by 7-1 and now Muhammad Asif has won the final of the World Snooker Championship played in Sofia, Bulgaria. Asif defeated Gary Wilson of Britain 10-8 in a thrilling final. With this victory, Asif becomes the second Pakistani to claim the title.

Mohammad Yousuf had won the championship in 1994. while In 2003, Pakistan’s Saleh Mohamamd lost to Indian Pankaj Advani of India. Saleh Muhammad had played final of World Snooker Championship in China.
In a best of thirteen frames one-sided semi-final, the Pakistani player outclassed his opponent.
