Asma Jahangir sees democracy of Pakistan under Threat

Asma Jahangir said in her press meeting to Pakistani media that people should resist undemocratic acts.She is popular Pakistani rights activist Asma Jahangir; She was also the former president of Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) while Addressing to press conference at Karachi Press Club, she said our future generations will never forgive us if democracy was derailed in the country again.

Her insights clearly showed that boots are coming to overtake the Pakistan.According to her views the lawyers would not give any strength to any undemocratic decisions.Even though her critics were unwelcome around the social media.Even thought Asma Jahangir currently do not hold nay position in Supreme Court Bar by she tried to represent the lawyer community and said their strategy after going through written order of the Supreme Court for arresting Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf and other accused in the rental power projects case.

She said “The‘black snakes’ of the judiciary have today bitten democracy and the rule of law. The legal fraternity and the public, political parties should play their pivotal role for democracy”

President of Sindh High Court Bar Association Mustafa Lakhani told that an all parties conference was called to due to long march of Mr. Qadri few days ago in Lahore; where all the participants, which included lawyers, rejected it clearly.President Karachi Bar Association Naeem Qureshi said the lawyers had taken active part in the movement for independence of judiciary, adding the Karachi bar has given many sacrifices in this regard.
