The famous Pakistani with the name of Shahid Nazir in selling fish became one of the most famous videos on the Internet nowadays. As this video hovered millions of viewers, Nazir got a record deal and the 28th spot in the UK music charts.
Who Is Shahid Nazir?
Nazir was born in Pattoki that is close to Lahore in Pakistan. As he was growing up, he was already listening to Punjabi and Bollywood music along with religious songs performed at school. Before Nazir went to United Kingdom seeking for a better future, he worked for a transport company. He has four siblings from their father Kalsoom and mother Kashifa.

After working in a pound shop, Nazir settled in East London where he started working in a fish stall found at Queen’s Marker. His employer told him to utilize the call of a trader in order to attract more customers. This instruction led him to compose the song “One Pound Fish.” This became a hit on the Internet and a viral video as well with his customer passing their uploaded videos of his song on YouTube. The popularity of this song was being covered by popular artists like Mindless Behavior, Timbaland, and Alesha Dixon.
