Pakistan’s latest and first super heroine cartoon series “Burqa Avenger” has already gained lot of fame. Burqa Avenger’s few episodes went on air through GEO TV and have proved to be very successful. It is now in news that the team of Burqa Avenger’s are being contacted by Indian producers for making a complete movie on it. Burqa Avenger has got a unique concept and also reflects the traditions and norms of our society.
It is the first ever Pakistan Super hero/heroine series. The concept of Burka Avenger is that an ambitious school teacher stand against the ills of society like violation of human rights, women rights, lack of education and corruption. But she fight against these odds in secret she is a master of marital arts and goes out in Burka so no one can identify us. The series became so famous due to its uniqueness and current situation of the country.
The Burqa involved in the series have caught the attention of many around the world as the scarf is being taken as identity of a Muslim and some western countries don’t like the concept of burqa and take it as a racist activity but at the same time they also talk about freedom of expression. Getting back to the cartoon series and interest on India on making movie on it, the super hero or heroine series are nowadays liked a lot around the world as we have the examples of such movies as Kung Fu Panda, Monsters and many other movies.
Burqa Avengers have potential to be a successful super heroine movie and Indian producers have already considered the voices of Katrina Kaif and Priyanka Chopra as voice of Burqa Avenger. Lets see Pakistan gives this mega project to India or concentrate on its optimum utilization itself.
