One of the Police officers in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has set an example for the whole nation as he returned a mammoth amount of 10 Million Rupees to bank after he found this amount on road.
Umar Khan is a Traffic Police constable in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and he found 10 Million Rupees on the road. Umar Khan found this amount on the road while he was performing his routine duty. A bank van was carrying the cash and the bag dropped accidentally. Both the van driver and other people onboard the van were not aware of the situation.
Umar Khan after finding the bag, returned it to the original custodians without hesitation. Inspector General Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Nasir Khan Durrani has praised this act of honesty by Umar Khan and said that
Umar Khan did a great job and earned a lot of respect not only for himself but the whole KP Police department and the people of the province
Umar Khan while speaking to the media in IG Police office on this occasion said
No one was aware about the incident and it was easy for me to use the money but I preferred to return the bag as it is my duty
All of us know that in these tough financial times it is very hard to resist not taking such a huge amount and only a person with a strong moral character can handle situation like this. Umar Khan showed everyone that he has a strong moral character and set an example for all of us.
