Pakistani driver who is 39 years old was sentenced 10 years jail in addition to deportation after the tenure of jail is observed from the Kingdom of Bahrain. He allegedly kissed a child on her cheek.
Arrest came after the child girls’ mother reported the incident to the police. According to the mother, she saw her daughter crying when she returned to home after attending school.
The man defended himself by stating that he kissed the five-year old minor girl as one of his own daughters. The court did not accept his statement and sentenced him 10 years jail in addition to deportation from the kingdom once the jail sentence was served.
The court in capital Manama was presented with a medical certificate that showed that the little girl had suffered redness in her cheek. It indicated that it was a violent kiss taken by force.
The medical evidence was supported by the little girl’s statement given to her mother that she was kissed and bit on the cheek by the driver who was on duty to take her to school every day and drop her back once the school was finished. The little girl further stated that the driver asked her many times to allow him to bite her cheek but she refused until he forcefully bit her cheek and kissed her.
The judges remarked that the kiss could not be a normal or parent like kiss because it left trauma-like mark on the cheek of the little girl.
So the final verdict sentenced the driver 10 years jail and deportation from Kingdom of Bahrain.
