Government of Pakistan has announced that Pakistani youth will be given monthly allowances through youth development program. In order to benefit from this program of Pakistani government, the youth will have to register under Skill Development Program. This program is expected to be launched by government in February 2014. Youth are expected to get exposed to numerous opportunities via this program and their skills will be developed.
Maryam Nawaz Sharif, who is the chairperson of Prime Minister’s youth program, was presiding over a meeting in this regard. She said that she was quite optimistic regarding youth development program as this program is intended to provide opportunities to youth to develop themselves and their skills.
This program will provide the youth with an opportunity to help themselves and stand on their own feet. This will result in a stronger economy because talented and skilled young people will not only be getting jobs in Pakistan but in foreign countries as well.
Maryam Nawaz Sharif on this occasion also informed the media that government is working hard to launch Youth Internship Program as soon as possible.
Youth are very hopeful about the opportunities presented to them by government and if these programs succeed, it will give a huge boost to the confidence of youth all over Pakistan.
As a matter of personal point of view, it will be necessary to mention here that government should not only work on developing the skills of youth but it is quite wise to look for such strategies that could produce more jobs in Pakistan and youth after improving their skillset can apply for those jobs.
