3G and 4G are hot topics in Pakistan these days. The auction was successfully concluded and consumers are getting impatient to lay their hands on this latest technology. Some of the operators have already started free trial of 3G services to some selected customers so that the technology can be tested.
But before this technology can be availed by all consumers on commercial scale, telecom operators are going to need NOC from PTA. So when does PTA intend to give NOC (No Objection Certificate) to telecom operators?
It is not too long as Pakistan Telecommunication Authority intends to celebrate a ceremony for the auction winning companies on 10th of May 2014 in Islamabad. In this ceremony No Objection Certificate (NOC) will also be awarded to auction winning companies. After getting NOC, telecom operators will be able to sell 3G and 4G services to consumers on commercial level.
Only one company i.e. Warid Telecom did not participate in the auction and its customers are enraged over this decision of Warid. Warid is planning on bringing 4G LTE technology in Pakistan but at the moment things are pending and no real step has been taken by Warid in this regard and this is why Warid customers are getting impatient.
Another question boggling the minds of customers waiting for 3G and 4G is that what prices will these technologies cost them? Few days ago information regarding Ufone 3G Package Bundles was leaked and it seems that the prices were quite reasonable but no one knows anything for sure.
Zong is expected to provide the customers with the cheapest possible 3G packages price as this network is famous for providing the cheapest voice and SMS packages.
