Shaista Lodhi’s objectionable pictures were leaked on social media a few days ago. The controversy seems to have shocked many of her fans. She was being heavily criticized.
Now she has come up with an explanation regarding this controversy. She hosts a morning show in Geo TV with the name “Utho Jago Pakistan” in which she clarified her side of the story.
She told that she is innocent in this regard as these pictures were taken at the time when she was in Nikkah with her ex-husband Dr. Waqar Wahidi. Someone has leaked the pictures in order to tarnish her image. She said that she has been targeted and victimized of this wicked game.
She also stated that she will not take any kind of revenge and she has left this matter to Almighty ALLAH. During the program she also said that she is a role model for the women who follow her.
Few sources earlier said that the pictures were not real but her confession has now cemented the idea that the pictures were real and not fake. Still this is a matter of fact that after this scandal how she can claim that she is a role model for the women? It still is considered a shameful act to indulge in kissing and snapping photos with a person with whom you haven’t been wedded yet. In a conservative society of Pakistan it still is considered bad.
Even if she was wedded, kissing and snapping photos with husband and not taking good care of those photos and poorly handling them so that they got leaked is an objectionable act. Her image will not be the same among many women.
