If you have a smartphone with a good quality camera or even just a normal quality camera and you snap ‘selfies’ (a terminology used for snapping one’s own photos) and put them on internet on Facebook, Twitter or many other social networking and media websites, then you are not normal.
American Psychiatric Association has verified the fact that those people who take selfies via their smartphone cameras and then upload them at social media websites is a mental disorder.
Such people who snap photos of themselves three times in a single day lack self-confidence. If they do not upload the photos on any social media or social networking website then they are on the borderline of this mental disorder but those people who do it more than three times in a single day and do upload the selfies on social media and social networking websites, they are facing intense mental disorder and severely lack self-confidence.
According to doctors, there is no proper treatment till this point but if the patients are treated to improve their self-confidence, this mental disorder could become better with the improvement in the level of self-confidence.
As a matter of fact, more and more people on internet throughout the world are getting addicted to snapping selfies and it is unintentionally adapted by many people as a trend. They even don’t know what they are doing and what actually is forcing them to do it. They unknowingly are having this mental disorder and they need to realize this fact and should think about getting some treatment.
