Fiat is likely to step in Pakistan in near future. The news for Fiat to be entered in Pakistan is revealed by the Italian Ambassador to Pakistan Stefano Pontecorvo during a meeting with the Federal Minister for Finance Senator Ishaq Dar. “Fiat is viewing Pakistan as the next possible investment destination”, said Italian Ambassador to Pakistan during a talk with Finance Minister.
The Italian delegation on Thursday was called on Finance Minister and shared the matters of mutual interest regarding trade and investment. Commenting over his view regarding entering in Pakistan, the Italian Ambassador to Pakistan said that there are many reasons for Fiat to step into Pakistan – cheap labour in the country is the main motivational factor and the Pakistan has the potential to be used as a regional hub for exporters.

“Pakistan provides significant trade links ranging from China in the east to Lebanon in the west in addition to the entire central Asian region”, the Italian Ambassador to Pakistan Stefano Pontecorvo said to the Finance Minister.
The Ambassador also said the Finance Minister that a delegation of the businessmen and entrepreneurs will visit the Pakistan next year to hold talk with the business community of Pakistan to establish contacts. “Italian businessmen closely follow the Pakistan market and products and appreciated the skills and talents available in the country”, he said.
Federal Minister for Finance on his turn appreciated the Italy’s plan for trade and investment in Pakistan. He assured them that all kind of assistance will be provided to them. “We want to diversify our exports and want to find new partners for doing business. I believe that Pakistan really has a lot of potentials to promote itself and Italy is one country which provides excellent business opportunities”, said Ishaq Dar.
