As per the HEC ‘Guideline for Degree Program for Intermediate Qualified Students of Accountancy’ such as ICAP and ICMAP, and PIPFA, no credit for any part of professional training obtained from professional bodies will be given. However, the completer of ICAP and ICMAP can get M.Com equivalence certificate from the Higher Education of Pakistan.
However, here we are sharing a good news for the ICMA/C.A Inter, CAF and PIPFA students as now these students can pursue their educational career in M.Com. According to Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU): ‘Applicants having a degree of BA is also eligible for M.Com with: a. CA intermediate b. ACMA- one year Post Graduate Certificate in Accounting(PGA) c. PIPFA.”
So, if you have completed your ICMA Inter, C.A Inter (or new CAF) and PIFPA and having B.A degree as well with 45% marks then you are eligible for applying M.Com 2 year program. So, cheer up and if you are tired of getting fail and fail in your present accountancy profession then AIOU is the best option from where you can carry on M.Com (Master in Commerce).
All conditions for these students will be applicable as applicable on the normal students of BBA. B.Com and Associate Degree. The conditions are face to face coaching through approved study centers, three-day workshops for each course in a semester, 2 years of duration, English medium of instructions, etc.
