Pakistan’s first double-decker bus service is all set to be launched tomorrow, 14 November in Provincial capital of Punjab, Lahore. This initiative is upheld by the Tourism Development Corporation of Punjab (TDCP) to promote the culture of the ancient city.
Mainly, TDCP intends to increase tourist attraction to the historical places of the city. With making an effort this department raised a project, named as ‘Sightseeing Lahore’ and now after they have got the approval from Chief Minister Punjab, from tomorrow onwards the first sightseeing double-decker buses will be seen rushing on the roads of Lahore.
The inauguration ceremony of the project is scheduled tomorrow and according to the sources Chief Minister Nawaz Sharif will be the chief guest of the event.
Sightseeing Lahore-Double-decker bus service
As we know that, from tomorrow this bus service will be made operational, initially 2 Double-decker buses will be plying but onwards 3 more will be joining the project soon.
For this two terminals are set, from where the double-decker bus will be using the route of the metro project of the city.
Terminals:
- Gaddafi Stadium
- Food Street
The point should be kept in mind that these buses will just be destining to the historical areas of the city as it is updated to enhance the tourism at the classically enriched sights of Lahore.
These double-decker buses are imported from the China at the total cost of $188,000. Without any doubt, these buses are the best example of technology as this are much more luxury than the simple buses we have before. And most prominently, the artwork is eye-catching for every patriot.
