In the recent drive to get on the higher security standards, PTCl has announced biometric verification of the internet devices, namely EVO, Charji, and Nitro devices before 31st December.
Sources claim that this drive is the second phase of BVS under National Action Plan (NAP). As earlier this year SIM’s were verified using the biometric verification system and the SIM’s which weren’t verified were later blocked by the PTA.
Earlier, it was sought as a difficult or strenuous work to successfully get the verification of SIM’s in Pakistan, but after the strict orders and mutual coordination it was made applicable, which brought out positive results.
And now the Pakistan Telecommunication Company limited announced the BVS verification of their internet devices, for this the due date announced is December 31, 2015.
To get inform its customers about this compulsory verification process, PTCL is contacting with customers via SMS and E-mail services.
How to do Biometric Verification of Charji and EVO devices?
- You just have to go to PTCL one stop shop, Ufone Service Center, Ufone Franchise or Ufone retailer along with your devices and original CNIC.
- Furthermore, follow the commands of the authorized person available at the spot.
Here it is pertinent to mention that for the first time in Pakistan internet services were adjourned in Pakistan on 10th of Muharram. It should be also kept in knowledge that the landline net services of PTCL weren’t suspended on the occasion and devices like EVO and Charji were affected with this.
The strategy was implemented to ensure the security condition over the religious occasion.
