Rauf Klasra is a Pakistani senior journalist and Urdu language columnist. Klasra is consider as one of the leading journalists of the Sariki regions. He belongs to a Jatt family of Southern Punjab.
He started his career as a reporter for Daily Dawn and later on promoted to Islamabad office of Dawn. He then shifted to The News form the Dawn and started to writing Urdu columns for Jang and Akhbar-e-Jahan. For some period working with The News Klasra moved to The Express Tribune and ranked as Editor Investigations. Klasra is expert in investigating and knows as a reporter who never talk or give story without having concreted evidence.
Currently he is working for Dunya Media Group, ARY News Channel and Channel 92. He is also writing Urdu columns after the name “Aakhir Kyon” in Daily Dunya News and also a co-anchor of a morning news show on Dunya TV titled “Khabar Yeh Hai”. His talk show by the name of “Khabar Sai Khabar” also aired on ARY News Channel. On Channel 92, he is hosting a talk show Muqabil. For his genuine reporting and raising public issues, he has been appreciated by many a time by the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
He is also running a e-paper named Topstoryonline.com. He is famous for investigating political scams and scandals. Klasra is the author of a book as well “Ek Syasat Kaee Kahnaian”.
