Shiv Sena found some illogical reason behind banning Mahira Khan and Fawad Khan who are now a day more popular in Indian than any other Bollywood celebrities. The extremist party comes with an illogical point that we banned both Pakistani artists because of their Pakistani drama Humsafar (2011-2012).
Linking the HUM TV drama Humsafar and ban on Mahira and Fawad, an official of Shiv Sena said we didn’t ban both because we think that they are terrorist. This is not the case, we ban because of their drama Humsafar that was released during 2011-2012 on HUM TV. Moreover, the Humsafar also aired in India on Zindgai TV of Zee News and won the heart of millions.
Well this is the logic presented by Shiv Sena spokesperson: “I mean it’s a story about a man who sits by as his wife is thrown out, has his child, and returns to him for help with her health bills, only to find out that he’s a misogynist jerk who could care less. The woman then forgives him in the end and we all find out that it’s his mother who is evil – it is literally the worst drama we have ever seen.”
“If Humsafar had shown Mahira giving him the boot and moving on to make something out of her life instead of playing the damsel in distress our reaction would have been different. Unfortunately, this was just one more drama where the women are evil or insane and the man had done no wrong despite it all being his fault!” he added.
Well this is quite interesting that a society who failed in giving respect to women thinks that two actors across the border will ruin their society. When it comes to Malala Yousafzai, they said that India is open to her all the time as she is not the terrorist; in fact, she is the one who is fighting against terrorist and extremist.
Meanwhile, the anti-Pakistan Bollywood celebrity Saif Ali Khan this time condemned the Shiv Sena for restricting Pakistani talent to Pakistan. But his favor was for the benefit of Bollywood and it was, “if we will create hurdles for them, they will ban our movies in their county. For the love of Bollywood, stop before it’s too late.”
However, Saif Ali Khan has raised voice because of his own benefit but there are some genuine celebrities in Bollywood as well who stand against the Shiv Sena threats to Pakistani talent. These are: Emraan Hashmi, Soha Ali Khan, Kabir Khan, Swanand Kirkire, Nimrat kaur, Omung Kumar and dozens of others. In fact, Indian audience wants to see Pakistani cricketers, singers, musicians, and actors around them.
