The news for the launch of Iflix has disclosed by the Umbrella.Asia. According to Umbrella.Asia, “Online streaming firm Iflix is poised to launch in Pakistan and has recruited a general manager to head the operation. Farees Shah, who has taken the Pakistan general manager role, joins Iflix from German online fashion retailer Rocket Internet where he founded its Pakistan business, Daraz.pk in 2012.
Just like various other videos on demand service providers, Iflix will also offer the top rated movies, TV shows, television programs and seasons. The streaming system of Iflix will based on the two options; watch it now or watch it later. Moreover, once available, Iflix will offer the possibility of connecting up to five devices at once the Netflix is already offering that in Pakistan.
Iflix is currently offering the hundreds of seasons of the toe shows and top rated Hollywood and Asian movies. There are tens of thousands of hours of content available on the Iflix.
According to sources, Iflix payment system for Pakistan will be same as applicable to other countries where Iflix is available. The willing users will be able to make the payment by using their credit or debit card. They can also create account with Iflix via online banking as well. There will be no limitation over the cards every card that has the Visa or MasterCard logo will be acceptable for the purpose of making the payment.
As mentioned above, Farees Shah is going to be the General Manager of Iflix in Pakistan. In 2014, while in an interview, Farees Shah expressed his reservation over the risk involved in the investment in the online sector in Pakistan. But now the arrival of Netflix has forces the various online companies to revisit their investment plans for the Pakistan. The chances for the arrival of international money transfer like PayPal and other giant shopping portals are also high.
