Here is the big news for the province Punjab residents as Chairman Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) Umair Saif has made an announcement of free Wi-Fi service in Lahore, Multan and Rawalpindi. It would be the happiest moment for Lahoris as this service was in pipeline for around a year is going live now. At the same time it is a surprise for other two cities in the list as the earlier confirmation about these cities were not made.
It should be kept mentioned here that public Wi-Fi service in Lahore will soon be launching, whereas it will need several months to get this service ready for Multan and Rawalpindi.
According to the media reports it will cost around Rs 15 crore to set this Free public Wi-Fi service in 115 areas around Lahore.
This big announcement was made by Umair Saif on social media over which the netizens have gone crazy.
