Finally the change of power one of the largest powerful seats in Pakistan is going to happen on November 29, 2016. According to recent news, General Raheel Sharif will hand over the post of Pak Army Chief to General Qamar Javed Bajwa.
Up to some extent, seniority list has against been neglected by the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. He opted for the fourth general in the list.
Chairman Joint Chief of Staff General Rashid Mahmood has been retired today, and his command will go to the General Zubair Mahmood Hayat.

It was the fifth time that Nawaz Sharif appointed Pak Army Chief. In the past, four Army Chiefs selected by PM Nawaz were General Asif Janjua (1991), General Waheed Kakar (1993), General Pervez Musharraf (1998) and General Raheel Sharif (2013).
Earlier the rumors were there that General Ishfaq Nadeem Ahmed was to be the next COAS but was rejected because of his aggressive style.
