PCB in yet another bold initiative is availing opportunities to the young cricketers to play alongside the senior cricket stars of nation and to serve this purpose they have organised PSL-like tournament , a pentagular ODI tournament in which players are given double match fees than the other domestic matches.
As it is numerous time mentioned 5 teams,namely Punjab, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh, Islamabad are featuring in this event. These teams led by the senior national team stars are battling at Iqbal Stadium, Faisalabad to win the Pakistan Cup 2016.
The opening matches were low scoring games, but now some batting dominant games are also seen, especially Sarfraz Ahmed’s-led Sindh have been phenomenal in the tournament so far.
The two stars of Sindh, who have turned out the gamechanger are Khurram Manzoor and Mohammad Amir.
Manzoor has scored two consecutive centuries in the matches played so far, and Amir is up with some terrific bowling, his brilliant five wicket performance against Islamabad earned him the title of Man of the Match (MoM).
Amir’s five wickets and Manzoor’s century led Sindh to get a comprehensive victory of 118 runs against Islamabad.
