The cricketing grounds in Pakistan are facing drought for long, the Zimbabwe series worked as the first drop of rain for the nation eagerly waiting to witness international cricket at their home.
Later, PSL’s happening was also perceived as a step of revival of cricket in Pakistan, but the debut season of Pakistan’s very own league ended without any such indication.
But now the chairman PSL, Najam Sethi, who is with aim to make PSL bigger and better is also taking steps to bring cricket in Pakistan.
As he earlier hinted about holding PSL Final in Pakistan, now he has openly talked about this move.
“I will not disclose the names of the foreign players who have agreed to play in Lahore but I can assure you that the final here will be bigger than the one held in the UAE,” told Najam Sethi while talking to reporters in NCA.
“We’re offering extra money, as much as US$20,000 each to foreign players to play the final in Lahore. We’re building 14 new rooms in the NCA to provide accommodation to the foreign players for the PSL matches.” Najam Sethi was speaking to the media over attending under-19 camp of Peshawar Zalmi.
