Work on romance and love fiction is although there but the work on modern fiction is considerably low. 1. Mustansar Hussain Tarar
Mustansar Hussain Tarar is the renowned writer in Pakistani writing line. Born on March 01, 1939, Mustansar Hussain Tarar has earned fame for being a writer, traveler, novelist and columnist. Some famous books of the Mustansar Hussain Tarar are Bay Izti Kharab, Carvan Sarai, Chikh Chuk, Gadhay Hamaray Bhai Hain, Gahr-e-Hira Mein ek Raat and dozens of others.
2. Bano Qudsia
Just like her husband, Ishqfaq Ahmed, Bano Qudsia is the other name in the leading Pakistani writers. Known for writing the famous novel Raja Gidh, the other books, and novels by the Bano Qudsia are Adhi Baat, Chota Shehr Baray Log, Hassil Ghaat, Purwa, Marde Abresham, Same-e-Wajood, Tawjha Ki Talib, etc. All these books and novels are worth to read.
3. Saadat Hasan Manto
And it is also possible, that Saadat Hasan dies, but Manto remains alive. Only one novel and twenty-two short stories were written by this writer but these are enough to describe this man. His books and novels are much inclined towards Sufism. He was also associated with Mumtaz Mufti and Qudrat Ullah Shahab. Zaviya, Aik Mohabbat Sau Afsanay, Mann Chalay Ka Sauda, Baba Sahiba, Hairat Kadah, etc. are his famous books.
5. Ibn e Insha
Born Sher Muhammad Khan and got popularity by the name of Ibn e Insha. He was the writer with a great sense of humour. Every subject on which he wrote contains a great level of humour. In addition to writing, he was also regarded as one of the best humorists in Urdu poetry as well. Ibn e Insha wrote on poetry, travel and humor. His books contain the list of Aware Gard Ki Diary, Aap Se Kya Parda, Kumar e Gandum, Urdu Ki Aakhri Kitaab, Nagri Nagri Phira Musafar, etc.
6. Qudrat Ullah Shahab
First civil servant in Pakistani history who wrote clearly on the post-Pakistan creation affairs. He was one of the most eminent Urdu writers in Pakistani writing history. Qudrat Ullah Shahab got popularity for his autobiography named Shahab Nama. He started writing after getting inspired from the Ibn e Insha to whom he met in London. In addition to Shahab Nama, other books by the Qudrat Ullah Shahab are Maa Ji, Nafsanay, Surkh Feeta, and Ya Khuda.
7. Ibn-e-Safi
Asrar Ahmed, known by the pen name Ibn-e-Safi, was the name of a most prolific writer and best-selling novelist of Pakistan. He is also known for his great poetry as well. Ibn-e-Safi wrote on mystery novels and short stories with more focus on the mockery and humour. He was serious about his houmor work and once said, “Why should a man ever become serious when he knows full well that one day he will be buried along with his seriousness?” Aadmi ki Jarain, Baldaraan Ki Malikaa, Diplomat Murgh and some others books are written by Ibn-e-Safi.
8. Intizar Hussain
Recently dead Pakistani writer of short stories, Urdu novels, and notification. Intizar Hussain is undoubtedly listed among the leading literary figures of Pakistan. At the international level, Intizar Hussain is recognized as the best known Pakistan writer after Manto. His writings include Wo Jo Kho Gaye, Aagay Sumandar Hai, Shehr-e-Afsos, Hindustan Se Aakhri Khat, etc.
9. Umera Ahmed
Umera Ahmed is a renowned Pakistani author and screenwriter. Pire-e-Kamil, a book about the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), is the much-acclaimed book by here. In fact, she got popularity from that book. Other books on her records are Lahasil, Meri Zaat Zare-e-Benishan (a book that were adopted for Geo TV dramas by the same name), Haasil, Uraan, Man-o-Salwa, Kankar, Sauda, Koi Baat Ha Teri Baat Main and dozens of others.
10. Farhat Ishtiaq
Farhat Ishtiaq is a living Pakistani author, writer, and screenwriter. She is best known for her romantic novel Humsafar. Hum TV drama serial Humsafar is also based on this novel of Farhat Ishtiaq. The other famous novels and books by the Farhat Ishtiaq are Mata-eJaan Jai Tu, Mere Humdum Mere Dost, and Diyar-e-Dil. Farhat Ishtiaq mostly focuses on Pakistani social issues.
