In recent years Pakistan has witnessed the worst scandals. We thought Pakistan had made progress in this field over the past few years, but the fact is that if you date back to the creation of Pakistan and study the history till know, then you will find some scams in our history so far. The alleged scandals that we are going to list below are directly or indirectly connected to the political situation in Pakistan. In most of the cases, politicians are directly involved, and in most of the cases, these activities are performed by the others.

1. Operation Midnight Jackal
Operation Midnight Jackal was one of the biggest alleged scams in the history of Pakistan that were exposed by Pakistan Secret Service Agency ISI and was also plotted by some of its officers. In 1989, Brigadier-General Imtiaz Ahmed planned to topple the government of then PM of Pakistan Benazir Bhutto, but his conversation tape with his fellows was acquired by IB that was forwarded to ISI to take action.
2. Mehrangate
Mehrangate that is also called as Mehran Bank Scandal was the biggest scandal in the political history of Pakistan. Some officers of ISI and Pakistani Army plotted to prevent the re-election of Benazir Bhutto’s government in 1990 and 1993 general elections. High profile political leaders were also involved in this.
3. Kasur Child Sexual Abuse Scandal
Said to be one of the worst political scandals in 2015 that allegedly occurred from 2016 to 2014 in Kasur District of Punjab Province. In 2015, hundreds of video clips discovered showing the forced sex videos with a child. This was allegedly an organized activity to sold child porn video to port sites and blackmailing the victims.
4. Memogate
A scandal to show relations between the Pakistani government and Army in 2011 were not according to the constitution. Allegedly it was written by Ambassador Hussain Haqqani to Mike Mullen to requesting to stopping the Pak Army who was planning to take over the civilian government after the death of Osama Bin Laden in Pakistan. Mansoor Ijaz disclosed it.
5. Operation Geronimo and Death of Osama Bin Laden
In May 2011, an operation in Abbottabad Pakistan was carried by US Forces that resulted in the death of Osama Bin Laden. One of the biggest scams in the history of Pakistan where it is not cleared whether Pakistani Agencies were aware of overall operation activities or not.
6. Pakistan Forex Scam Case
Famous financial scams about the Khanani and Kalia International that were charged for illegally transferring funds from Pakistan to Afghanistan. After examining the case, in November 2008, State Bank of Pakistan revoked the license of the institute for carrying any business in future at all.
7. Raymond Davis Scandal
In 2011, a CIA agent Raymond Davis killed to Pakistan men in Lahore. Pakistan security positions were questioned showing CIA agents are circulating the country. Raymond was charged with double murder and being armed illegally. However, after three month in March 2011 he was set free that is still doubtful for Pakistanis on which ground he was permitted to set free.
8. Rental Power Case
Rental Power Case revolves around the PPP Minister for Power and Water who had allegedly violated the laws of contract and granted the illegal contract to the favorites and getting billions of rupees in return. On January 15, 2013, an arrest order was issued by the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
9. Imran Farooq Murder
Although this case is not directly related to Pakistan person involved in the killing of Dr. Imran Farooq of MQM are from Pakistan. On September 16, 2010, he was found dead near his home in North London. The London Police several investigations but still the matter has not been resolved. Allegedly some members of MQM are involved in this.
10. Cricket Spot-Fixing Scandal
A scandal that put a bad name of Pakistan is cricket world. It weakens the position of Pakistani cricket. Three Pakistan players Salman Butt, Muhammad Asif and Muhammad Amir, was involved in this, and as a result of the case, all of these were banned for five years, ten years and six months respectively.
11. Shahzeb Murder Case
The murder of a university student by an influential and wealthy person. On December 25, 2012, Shahzeb Khan was killed by Shahrukh Jatoi, the son of a feudal. The case is still in the court, and the convicted involved are still not pardoned.
12. Ayyan Ali Money Laundering Case
In 2015, a famous Pakistan model Ayyan Ali was arrested for transferring $506,800 from Pakistan to UAE. Allegedly some renowned Pakistan politicians from PPP are involved in this money laundering.
