Pakistan is celebrating 18th You-e-Takbeer with patriotic reverence nationwide. The day is being celebrated as the national day in Pakistan as on this day Pakistan did successful nuclear test in 1988 at Chagai.
This event came in 17 days after India did five nuclear detonations at Pokhran-II, Pakistan responding it detonated seven nuclear devices to become the seventh country to be equipped with nuclear arsenal, and became the first Muslim country to do so.
While talking about, You-e-Takbeer and Pakistan’s Nuclear power one can never forget the role of Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan, a Pakistani nuclear physicist and a metallurgical engineer, who founded of the uranium enrichment program for Pakistan’s atomic bomb project.
