Federal Government has revised the Basic Pay Scale for the year 2017-18 of the Civil Servant Employees. A major improvement has been made by merging the ADHOC Allowance of 2010 in ongoing pay scale, and then 10% increment has been given in BPS 2017-18. In this way, Federal Government has revised the BPS for the year 2017-18.
The President of Pakistan has given the consent and the new BPS will be effective from July 01, 2017. However, employees with get increased salaries from August 01, 2017. Moreover, the annual increment will be added in salary of January 2018 and will be given as per ongoing BPS.
Below is the detailed revised BPS 2017-18 of the Civil Servants after merging the ADHOC 2010. For the clarity of the readers, BPS rates of 2016-17 have also been given.
According to Federal Ministry of Finance, in case of promotion from a lower to higher posts/scale before introduction of these sales, they pay the employees concerned in the revised pay scale may be fixed and so enhanced that it would not be less than the pay that would have been admissible to him if his promotion to the higher post/scale had taken place after the introduction of these scales.
All the Special Pays, Special Allowances or the Allowances admissible as percentage of pay (excluding those which are capped by fixing maximum limit) including House Rent Allowance and the Allowance/Special Allowance equal to one month basic pay, granted to Federal Government employees irrespective of his/her posting in Ministry/Division/Department/Office etc. including employees in BPS 1-22 of Judiciary shall stand frozen at the level of its admissibility as on June 30, 2017.
