It seems we have made the commitment to lose each and every mark over the international channels. Either it is vegetables, fruits or meats; we have been losing in every field because of our nature to earn more and more without even focusing on the quality. This time most of the beauty creams that for Pakistanis are status symbol has been blocked in the United Kingdom.
Well, the report comes from the mouth of BCC. According to the recent reports of the BBC, London Trading Standards banned the fifteen cosmetic products for being unsafe for the skin and health. These products contain the toxic and cancerous elements. According to the survey, most of these products contain harmful chemicals that can cause organ damage.
Moreover, collectively all these brands were fined £168,579 for selling harmful cosmetic products and majority of them are skin caring, skin beauty, and skin lightening products. These contain the prohibited and dangerous levels of mercury, hydroquinone, and corticosteroids. London Trading Standards said that they have seized hundreds of thousands of the products in a coordinated campaign.
Among many Pakistan products, Faiza Beauty Cream has been especially highlighted for containing 0.54% of toxic mercury. The officials have also warned these companies not to sell their products in U.K and in the case of offense, companies bosses will be fined up to £20,000 per offense and sent to prison for up to one year.
