After the Holy Mosques of Haram e Pak and Masjid Nabvi, it will be the third largest mosques in the world with praying capacity for almost 800,000 people.
The design of the Grand Jamia Masjid Bahria Town Karachi resembles Grand Jamia Masjid Bahria Town Lahore on many grounds. The design of the under-construction mosque has been taken from the Islamic and special Mughal style architectures and contains some designs of the popular mosques of Iran, Turkey, Malaysia, Kuwait, and UAE as well. Once completed, it will contain a full Islamic Research Center with the additional operations of Islamic Museum, Islamic Cultural Centre and an International Islamic University as well.
Grand Jamia Masjid Bahria Town Karachi will be featuring its thermal powerhouse, air conditioning, and water supply system. Bahria Town aims to build such grand mosques in all of its projects and sectors which are exemplary pieces of Islamic art and architecture.

Grand Jamia Masjid Bahria Town Karachi is being constructed on an area of 50 acres located at the top of a sixty feet high hill so that it will be visible from miles away. It will be containing a single monument minaret towering at ninety meters.
