In last three years Pakistan has made a significant progress in the tech world. More and more tech giants are willing to setup their offices in the country. For past many years there were rumors that PayPal is also interested in offering its services in the country. Most of the time officials of Ministry of Information Technology have also given the green signal about the arrival of the giant money transfer company. But now Minister of Information Technology Anusha Rehamn has made it clear that PayPal is not coming to Pakistan.
Anusha Rehman has also said that the Ministry is working on it and making all possible efforts to finalize the deals with PayPal. Couple of months before, it was said by the top officials of the MoIT that they have made all prerequisite regulatory arrangements needed for the global money transfer giant to start is operations in the country. Despite the face Pakistan has availed the anti money laundering and counter terrorist financing standards status, still many companies are not ready to start their operations in Pakistan.
Meanwhile many Asian countries are enjoying the PayPal services facilities. Even last year, PayPal has initiated its services in Bangladesh. Well Pakistani government is talking all necessary steps to bring more international companies in Pakistan especially the money transfer companies because the people here also need the international payment gateways.
